Get to know us

We began as a small tea brand rooted in a deep appreciation for authentic Japanese tea culture, first known as Torii Kitsune. Starting with just two tea powders — Kitsune Matcha and Ryu Hojicha — we introduced our craft through pop-up stalls at short-term events, serving hand-crafted Matcha Latte and Hojicha Latte alongside our products. It quickly became clear that sharing tea was more than just serving beverages; it was about creating a space for people to experience and connect with the essence of Japanese tea. Today, Kitsuya.Matcha continues to grow with that same philosophy, expanding our offerings while staying true to the culture and craftsmanship that define us.

As our journey evolved, we gradually expanded our offerings to create a more complete and refined tea experience for our customers. On 6 June 2024, we introduced five original Japanese tea powders — Matsu Matcha, Hamanasu Matcha, Uji Dark-Roasted Hojicha, Hanamitsu Light-Roasted Genmaicha, and Momiji Black Tea — each carefully selected to reflect the depth and diversity of Japanese tea craftsmanship.
Over time, several of these blends have remained as part of our core collection, continuing to accompany matcha lovers in their daily rituals. At Kitsuya.Matcha, we grow alongside our community, staying committed to delivering an experience that is both authentic and thoughtfully curated.
On 24 of September 2024, two new hojicha powders were added to the range: Karigane Hojicha and Nami Hojicha. Complementing our presence at various event stalls were additions that were paired with new Japanese Tea Latte recipes.

As our brand continued to mature, we embraced a new identity — Kitsuya.Matcha — marking a full rebrand on 10 March 2025. This transformation introduced a refreshed visual direction, with packaging inspired by a refined fusion of Showa-era nostalgia and contemporary café aesthetics, reflecting both our roots and our vision moving forward.
